In West Africa, Cameroon’s continuing civil war between separatists seeking independence in the English-speaking regions, and the government’s French-speaking majority, the innocents, the children, are where war always finds them-- more disadvantaged than they already are.
For the blind and deaf children, displacement to ‘safer’ areas has left them without much of anything. Where once they attended a special education school focusing on their needs in English, these children are now bereft of basic educational materials, hearing aids, braille machines, text books, American sign language books, dictionaries, reading and writing materials, hot meals —and qualified teachers.

Displaced by a civil war started in 2017, these children are one group among many who are blind or deaf.
Working with our Cameroon partner, Dr. Helga Jam, who heads Abundant Life Ministry for Blind and Deaf Children, we want to assure these forgotten ones are forgotten no more. They need your support to give them the education and skill training they will desperately need to sustain themselves in adulthood.
Your tax-deductible donation, in any amount, earmarked for the blind and deaf, will deliver these life-sustaining gifts for children who need them the most.
