A Day in the Life of Conscience International

A Day in the Life of Conscience International ETHIOPIA-- One of the most successful of our stories is found in Ethiopia where Conscience International’s medical team from the Texas Back Institute in Dallas returns each year to provide free surgery to Ethiopia’s young people who are suffering from deformed spines. This ongoing Spinal Surgery Mission in Addis Ababa, led by Dr. Ted Belanger, is now raising funds to return next May to perform operations and provide post-operative care on what will be their one hundredth patient among the underserved and underinsured youth. The highly technical surgeries have straightened spines and restored mobility to an average of twenty children and teenagers each year for the past seven years. Read their stories from some of our past posts:

The American surgeons and nurses donate their time and skills free of charge, but surgical supplies and equipment are costly. If you would like to give renewed life to young people of Ethiopia who suffer from spinal disfigurements, please consider supporting our continuing Spinal Surgery Mission by making a tax-deductible donation in any amount on this secure website, or mail checks to Conscience International, 44 Milton Ave., Suite 122, Alpharetta, GA 30009 USA.
