Haiti: Putting roofs on 20 houses in Cayette

We are back in Cayette, Haiti getting the roofs on 20 houses in this small village. Supported by Conscience International and Give Shelter Ministries we are able to continue this re-development project that is now a year old. It’s about a four or five hour drive from the airport in Port au Prince to Les Ceyes, where we found a place to stay for some much needed rest before starting a very busy week.  We were up early the next morning and headed to Cayette, stopping to purchase roof supplies for 10 houses.  Unfortunately the rainy season has started.  This is a community effort, so by agreement families must do their part to help get their house ready for the metal roof that we will build. It has worked beautifully so far.  We have much to do.
